Lala Rukh is a social entrepreneur and a science communicator. She is the Founder and CEO of Science Fuse, a social enterprise that works to enhance scientific literacy by curating informal science educational resources & engagements for children, teachers, schools & communities from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds across Pakistan. Science Fuse is inspiring children, especially girls, students with diverse abilities such as deaf students & children from low socio-economic backgrounds, & marginalied communities to pursue STEM education and careers. Lalah has been working within science communication for the last eleven years, including at the prestigious Science Museum in London and earlier at Forskerfabrikken – a leading social enterprise working to promote STEM education in Norway. She is also a Malala Fund Education Champion 2020, A Pakistan Acumen Fellow 2018, and an Ashoka Changemaker-exchange fellow 2019. Lala has presented at prestigious conferences and platforms, including the TED Global Conference 2023 in Canada, renowned for its focus on groundbreaking ideas and innovation; The Royal Institution London in 2024, a historic institution established in 1799 that has hosted luminaries like Michael Faraday and Carl Sagan, celebrated for its long-standing tradition in science education and public engagement; and the Falling Walls Conference in Berlin, known for its emphasis on transformative ideas that break down barriers in science and society.
